Frances P. Carter

Frances P. Carter, 91, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020. A native of Wake County, Frances was born March 11, 1929 to the late Lee and Rosa Lee Penny. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She not only opened her heart and her home to her family but was also a foster mother to many other children. Due to the current circumstances, the family is holding a private graveside service. Frances is survived by her children, Laura Kay Carter Adams, Debra Carter Braswell, Alvin Dean Shields, Mike Waily, Amber Waily, and Teresa Daniels; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Lanier Carter; a sister, Rosa Lee Bohrer; and a brother, Lee Penny, Jr. Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
