Garner -Evelyn Brantley Gay, 98, retired Postmaster at Bunn, NC with 31 years of service, died Saturday. A native of Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Arrah Murray Brantley.Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at the Bunn Cemetery, Bunn, NC.Surviving: daughters, Betty Harris and husband, Roy of Garner and Deborah Corbett of Winston-Salem; sister, Mary Powell and husband Warner of Garner; brothers, Charles Brantley and wife, Jo of Raleigh and Bobby Brantley of Spring Hope; grandchildren, Ricky Harris (Leigh Anne), Tim Corbett (Portia), Lee Corbett and Lisa Putnam (Chip), six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Decimo Gay.The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
