Edna B. Gardner

RALEIGH – Edna Ruth Blake Gardner, 63, died Monday. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late William Otis Blake and Lessie Virginia Lee Emory Blake. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Thursday at Midway Baptist Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Tom Gardner; step-daughter, Gina Gardner Allen and husband, Ronnie; step-son, Tony Gardner; sisters, Peggy Blake and husband, Johnny, Virginia Harris and Gwen Bailey and husband, Bobby; brother, Floyd Blake and wife, Dianne; step-grandchildren, Michael Hendrix, Amanda Hendrix Wood, Dallyne Gardner, Thomas Gardner and Lindsay Ava Gardner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Blake. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
