Doris Marie Allen

GARNER- Doris Marie Mims Allen, 75, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Doris was the daughter of the late Charlie and Thelma Stephenson Mims. Doris was a teacher for a local daycare for many years. Funeral service will be Monday, 1:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC. Doris was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee and three brothers Charlie, Donald and John Mims. Survivors include her husband of 55 years; Donnie G. Allen, Jr.; daughter, Karen VanDeusen and husband Wallace; sons, Rickie Allen and wife Linda and Sammy Allen and wife Wanda; sister, Edna Barham and husband Carey, ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Ruth Mims.The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
