August 16, 1933 — November 7, 2015

ANGIER – Dora Pearl Smith, 82, of Angier went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. A native of Harnett County, she was born August 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Grover Vance Smith and Madie Mills Smith. In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Carroll, Jr.; daughter, Deborah Jean Carroll; brothers, Charlie Smith, Joe Smith; sister, Georgia S. Weaver. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at the home of Becky Jordan, 203 Blair Dr. Angier, NC 27501 Monday night from 6:00-8:00 pm. Left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Doug Carroll of Willow Spring; daughters, Faye C. LeQuire and husband, Roger of Garner, Becky C. Jordan and husband, John of Angier, Brenda C. Gregory and husband, Keith of Fuquay-Varina, Mary C. Major and husband, Dave of Angier; sisters, Linda S. Smith of Willow Spring, Louise S. Campbell of Coats, Betty S. Andrews and Husband, Jim of Fuquay-Varina; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
