Donnie Gaston Allen, Jr.

GARNER – Donnie Gaston Allen, Jr., 81, died Thursday at his home. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Donnie and Ester Allen. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow t Lee Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include his daughter, Karen VanDeusen and husband, Wallace; sons, Ricky Allen and wife, Linda and Sammy Allen and wife, Wanda; sisters, Maverine Hardee, Meryl Lee (Roy) and Margaret Lloyd (Charles); brother, Willie Allen; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as four step great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; brothers, Erving and Clifton and sister, Mavis.
