Donald O. Wade, Jr.

Garner - Donald O. Wade, Jr., 86, passed away on Saturday. Don served proudly in the Navy during WWII and retired in 1989 from CP&L after 42 years of service. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Garner United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Don is survived by his daughter, Donna Stevens and husband, Tim of Garner; son, Bob and wife Joy of Wilmington; grandchildren, Susanna Stevens of Durham, Jake Stevens and wife, Allison of Garner, Elizabeth Stevens of Garner and Chris and Matt Wade of Wilmington; great-grandson, Wade Stevens of Garner.
