Donald Lee Avery

CLAYTON – Donald Lee Avery, Jr., 51, passed away on Monday, July 27th in his home after a three-year battle with colon cancer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 911 West Main St, Clayton, with Dr. John Jenkins officiating. Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Anita Love Mills Avery; parents, Nadine and Donald Lee Avery, Sr.; daughters, Lauren Brickhouse (Charles), Victoria Avery and fiance, Tiylor Stuart; son, Jimmy Dalton Avery; grandchildren, Douglas and Hunter Mangus, Elizabeth, Kaitlynn and Savanna Brickhouse, McKayla Love Gardner and Taylor Lee Stuart; nephew, Joey Avery (Hannah); nieces, Tiffany Roberts (Jonathan) and Brittany Odom. He was also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Vickie and Richard Hillman of Angier, NC. Donald is preceded in death by a sister, Christy Avery Odom. Donald was employed by Maurice Beasley with Framing Unlimited, who quickly became his best friend whom he loved like a brother.
