David Olin Johnson

Raleigh -David Olin Johnson, 77, passed away Wednesday at his home. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late David Peel Johnson and Caroline Stone Johnson. He was a licensed optician for 44 years. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Fay Franklin Johnson; daughters, Connie Pittman of Raleigh, Sonja Crevis (John) of Good Hope, GA and Kim Cox and husband, Tommy of Sanford; sister, Sue Darden of Chesapeake, VA; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Johnson and first wife, Mary Mac Fowler Johnson. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
