Chester Gray Edwards

Raleigh - Chester Gray Edwards, 77, died Thursday. Born in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Johnny Odell and Edna Gatton Edwards. A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Monday at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Lou Stephens Edwards; sons, Chester Greg Edwards and wife, Greta and Jordon Broughton Dahlgren; stepsons, Joseph Barton Curl, and David Earp; sisters, Helen Hedge, Dorothy Adkins and Brenda Gibson; brother, Bobby Edwards; twin brother Lester Ray Edwards; grandsons, Luke and Casey Edwards; great-grandsons, Lucas and Connor Edwards and several loving nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a step-son, David Randall Curl. Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County.
