Charles Bryant Elks

Charles B. Elks age 96, died peacefully August 8, 2023 in the Stewart Health Center at Springmoor Life Retirement Community in Raleigh, NC.

Charles was born in Washington, NC and is the son of Blanche and Charlie Elks.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 8 years Barbara Owens Elks and his wife of 65 years Zelma Woolard Elks and son Bryant Elks.

He is survived by two sons, Keith Elks and wife Debra of Beaufort, NC, Tom Elks

and wife Pam of Raleigh, NC, and Daughter-in-Law Ann Elks of New Orleans, LA; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Brother-in-Law Ben Woolard and wife Benita of Washington, NC.

He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1950 with a degree in Agriculture. He spent most of his career with the NC Department of Agriculture.

His was a life well lived, and he will be missed by many.
