Carolyn Faye Bridges

Garner -Carolyn Faye Messer Bridges, 74, died Wednesday at Rex Hospital.  She was a retired secretary in the tobacco literature department at NC State University. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Surviving are her husband of over 50 years, Gerald G. Bridges; son, Kevin G. Bridges and wife Kelly of Smithfield; sisters, Phyllis Weathers and husband Johnny of Angier, Linda Jackson and husband Doug of Raleigh and Terry Barbour and husband Robert of Raleigh; granddaughter, Julia Kaitlyn Bridges  of Smithfield.
