Billy Rue Brown

Garner– Billy Rue Brown, 62, was called home going to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2023. He fought a good fight, and he finished the course he kept the faith. Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late Willie Weldon and Margaret LaRue Brown. Billy was a loving husband, father, and brother, among many other titles he held in his amazing life. He was a retired veteran and serviceman.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 11th from 12:00-1:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm.

Surviving: The love of his life, wife, Jessie M. Brown; daughter, Emily Wilson; sister, Nanette Norman; brothers, Wallace Brown (Lenett) and David Smith; niece, Rachel Sauls (Justin); nephew, Justin Cummings; sisters-in-law, Cathy Bailey (Durwood) and Helen Payne; and brother-in-law, Philip Markham.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sibling, Joseph Smith.
