Wynn Prescott Britt

April 29, 1968 ~ February 9, 2020

Wynn Prescott Britt, a CAD designer, musician, and life-long resident of Raleigh NC, died unexpectedly at home on February 9, 2020 at the age of 51.

Wynn was born in Rocky Mount, NC on April 29, 1968 to Jerry and Elaine W Britt. He graduated from Apex High School in 1986 and from Wake Technical College in 1989. He worked at Progressive Design Collaborative for 28 years as a CAD designer but his true passion was music. Wynn started playing drums when he was 13 and was a member of several bands throughout his life. He was most recently the drummer for the Raleigh band ‘The Amazing Lounge Lizards’ and played a show with them the Saturday before his death. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Wynn is survived by his parents; his wife, Robin Britt; his children, Tucker and Avery Britt; his brother Wade Britt (Vicki Britt) and his three nieces, Amelia, Claire, and Kate Britt. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Lloyd and Lucie Worthington and Wade and Genevieve Britt.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to an education fund for Wynn’s children (https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-the-children-of-wynn-britt?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1)

Wynn was a Beautiful person. I wish I could’ve spent more time with him these last few years. I knew him best when he was in his 30s and we were touring in a successful Original band that was getting a lot of corporate commercial radio airplay and Major Label interest . He was always willing to go the extra mile! Plus he loved to drive, and drive HE did – thousands of miles after pounding the drums! I miss you Brother Wynn!
