  1. Willis and debbie Thompson

Sorry for your loss. Will miss seeing him riding the 4wheeler checking on things.

  2. Margaret Penny

I had the honor of working with Sam at CP&L. You never had to worry about the mail going astray while Sam was at the helm. He was a good man—salt of the earth. Heaven’s gain is our loss.

  3. Jimmy Thompson

Another good man from the generation of real men is gone. Sam was a friend and cousin. His word was his bond and I was proud to live next door to him my whole life.

  4. Judy Beach

We will truly miss Sam. His wisdom and goodness for all things family was a comfort. I am so thankful he took the time to visit daddy when he was sick and am forever grateful he was with daddy when he collapsed and alerted mom to call for help, it gave us extra days with him. God bless you all and know we are just down the road if you need anything.

    Love the Beach family

  5. Sheila B Talton

I had the pleasure of working with Sam Thompson at CP&L, Many wonderful and funny memories of Sam . He was a good man. He said what he meant and meant what he said. You never had to wonder. He had a soft spot for new comers and took the time to guide people in the right direction. I am very sorry for your loss.
