GARNER –Ricky Liles, 63, died Saturday with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Liles; daughters, Tonya Painter (Christian) and Heather Rudder (Duane); brothers, David Liles and Robert Liles (Cindy); grandchildren, Aaron, Cameron and Samantha.

    Ricky hired me in 2003 to manage his Smithfield store and I was lucky to have the opportunity to work for him for the last 2 years and presently his manager. Ricky believed in me and I will always be grateful. Ricky was a fine man and always fare with a heart of gold. I have seen him help many people in the last 15 years. I will truely miss him dearly.

    Ricky and I were best friends from about 4th grade on. He was always for the underdog and those that needed help. Many great times together in all those years and we discussed most of those on my visit to Wake Med. It was one of his good days and one I am truly thankful for. Love You Brother. Peace Out.

The most favorite of my memories is when Uncle Ricky Dad and I would go to the beach together and whoooooo could forget about that HIGH- TECK – RED -NECK he used sport around.

    Kay and family so sorry for your loss. We had only known Ricky for a short while but, felt like we had known him forever! He always made us feel at home and comfortable, Ricky had that way about him, that was just how Ricky rolled!
