Rachel Allen Stikeleather

Sept. 25, 1932 ~ March 21, 2020

Rachel Allen Stikeleather, 87, passed away suddenly March 21, 2020. A native of Johnston Co. she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie Allen. Rachel retired as a Registered Nurse where she worked at several hospitals in the Psychiatry specialty. There will be a private family graveside service. There will be a drop-in viewing Thursday from 9-5 at Bryan-Lee Funeral home, Garner, with no family present. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ronald Stikeleather, Sr.; and three brothers, Jack, J.P. and Jim Allen. Survivors include daughter, Jane S. Price and husband Shelton; sons, Gene Stikeleather, Jr. and wife Lori and Lee Stikeleather and wife Vickie; sister, Carolyn Williams and husband Gene; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Esteen Allen and extended family. She also leaves behind Chris Judge, her beloved friend and partner with whom she shared many adventures. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Charity FWB Church 1850 Wendell Blvd. Wendell, NC 27591 in Rachel’s Memory.

    My mom has been such a blessing to all she ever met. She is warm and loving and accepting of everyone right where they are. I can’t believe we have to go on without her. These days are so very sad for our family. We miss her very much. We have many wonderful memories and words of wisdom hidden in our hearts that will carry us until we meet her again in heaven for all eternity. To be loved by this wonderful mother and to watch how she has always done life is an example I will strive for as long as I have breath. We love you forever and ever mama!
