Margaret Wilson Hewitt

November 28, 1957 ~ October 4, 2020

Margaret Wilson Hewitt, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Margaret, or “Mag Pie” as some us of called her, was born in Horsforth, England on November 28, 1957. Months later, the family sailed to the United States and began living in North Carolina. Margaret was someone that would always help a friend in need. Mag Pie loved to see others smile.

She was an accountant for over 35 years and spent many of her best days being involved in the Cleveland community. Margaret had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her loyal dogs throughout the years. She was known for her timeless blue jean overalls, watching Fox News in her rocking chair, and enjoying a Coca Cola with plenty of ice. She also loved Evan Williams Egg Nog and enjoyed it year round. Margaret had great taste in music and was a joy to be around.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Ian Clarke Wilson and Janet Geddes Wilson.
She is survived by her daughters; Amber Nappi and (Joseph Nappi), Lesley Betts and (Sean Betts). Son; Matthew Hewitt and (Devan Hewitt). Sister; Anita Starnes. Brothers; Gordon and (Linda Wilson), Graham Wilson. Grandchildren; Logan Nappi, Delaney Betts, Leon Hewitt, Douglas Betts. Dear friends; Rick Rich, Lisa Lamporte, and Boomer.

In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make donations to Johnston County Animal Protection League, PO Box 607, Smithfield, NC 27577.

  4. Ricky Rich

Margaret , I loved every minute of the last two years we spent together. Lisa and I would do it all again. We all grew closer to God during this time and we grew strong together. The hours we spent talking, laughing and crying together. I was really glad for those days last month when we traveled to the beach. It was a rewarding trip for everyone.
Now it’s time for rest. Go to God and he will comfort you. We love you Margaret, now and forever.

  5. Carol Wood

  6. Graham Wilson

Margaret, I love and miss you already. My heart has a hole in it. You were the best big sister ever and were always there for me with good advice and support. You led a full life, good athlete, I was proud of your blue ribbon swimming medals, you’re honor rolls, your safety patrol duty (inspired me to make it), your horse back riding skills, college degree, CPA, running your own business, skydiving, your 3 great children , now and 4 grand children. The way you handled this illness was courageous & selfless! You lived full and were & are an inspiration for me and many others, Rest in Paradise, Godspeed!
Love always from your baby brother – Graham.
