  4. Bert Radford

When I think of what it means to be a great Christian man, father and husband looks like Doug is one of the first pictures that pops in my head. Doug was he a mentor to me as I was going through college and choosing my career. As a young boy he always treated me as his own taking me places with his boys. I have several memories of tractor pulls, seeing the Harlem Globetrotters and Sunday afternoons after church at their home. Doug always treated me like me the sam and I looked up to him. When I got in trouble for doing something I shouldn’t have he also treated me as his own.

There is not a time I drive by their old home that I don’t recall many great memories and visits with their family. My prayers go to the entire family during this time of loss, he will not be replaced. Doug was so proud of his kids and grandchildren and always wanted to tell you something about them. Go rest high on that mountain Doug, your work here is done. I can see the happy reunion with Mrs. Jo now. We love you and are praying for all of you.

    Bert Radford
