We are saddened by Jim’s death. He will always be remembered by us as a great friend and builder. The beach house that he and Harry built brought so much joy and happiness to our family for years. We received many compliments about its quality construction.

I am out of town and unfortunately will not be able to attend his services, but please know we will be thinking of you.

  9. John and Kathy Hrivnak

Janice, Kathy and I are forever in Jim’s debt thanks to his recruiting phone call , long ago, inviting us to ” come on down ” and join him at Baker Perkins in RALEIGH ! We have enjoyed, and still do love, Raleigh and are in the same N Raleigh home that we built and moved into 35 years ago. Jim was a great mentor, and leader, and friend . . . and a true professional who always acted with the highest values and integrity. Always the refined gentlemen, Jim was also strong and THE person that I would want in my trench in any type of fight or negotiation. We have only the very best memories of our times and experiences with you and Jim.
