Chester Stanley Pajerski

Raleigh – Chester Stanley Pajerski passed away at home on November 16, 2018, at the age of 81 with his wife of 55 years, Nancy, and children at his side. He was a devout Catholic, a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed. Chet was born to the late Joseph and Sophia (Ziemianski) Pajerski on July 18, 1937, in Plum Township, PA. After graduating from Springdale High School he served in the US Air Force until 1959. Upon his graduation from Allegheny Technical Institute in 1962 he began work with RCA and married Nancy Jameson, eventually moving to NC in 1964 where they raised their family. He retired in 2002 from HP after spending most of his career with Digital Equipment Corporation.

Chet enjoyed volunteering at Cardinal Gibbons High School where all of his children graduated and was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame for his years of service. He spent many years officiating basketball games as a member of the Triangle Officials Association, calling games into his late 70s.

Chet is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children Chester II (Beverly), Richard (Valerie), Marianne (Joe) Barber, Fr. Daniel, LC, and Stephen (Alicia); his grandchildren Justin, Rich, Andrew, Claire, Dan, Anne, Matthew, Philip, Paul, John, Nathan, Ben, Alex, Michael, Owen, Chandler, Nina and Vivian; his sister, Mary Hess and niece Pam (Albert) Klopsic. He was predeceased by his brothers Louis, Lloyd Bentley (late Barbara), and Joey (Maggie) and a brother-in-law, Richard Hess.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, with a Rosary at 8:45 PM.

Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 20, at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, NC 27603. There will be a reception following the Mass at the Fallon Center – Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh 27608.
