LOUISBURG – Charles Ural Watson, Sr., 77, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Duke University Hospital.

He was born in Wake County on March 23, 1943 to the late Lyman U. Watson and Bessie Bell Marshall Watson. Charles honorably served his country in the armed forces. He was a former Specialist with the 82nd Airborne of the US Army, serving in Korea from 1962-1963.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Watson; and a grandson, Hunter Watson.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Austin Watson; daughter, Macy Watson; sons, Charles “Chuck” Watson, Jr. and wife, Traci, Joel Watson and Michelle, Austin Watson, Nickolas Watson; grandchildren, Wesley Watson, Parker Watson, Chandler Watson, Bailey Watson, Gabriel Watson; and a great-grandson, Cole Watson.

    Great memories of Charles since age 5, First Grade and till now! Chaeles was a wonderful and kind man. I will really miss him. But will meet again in Heaven. I extend condolences to Charles Wife and children and many friends.
