Tina and Derek,I am going to try to be there tomorrow, but in case something happens, I just wanted to say that I am very very sorry for the loss of your mom. AlthoughI didn’t KNOW Carol all that well, when I think of her all I see is that great big smile. I don’t think I ever saw her mad. She was very kind to me which is sometimes hard, given the situation we were in. I know she was a wonderful mom and that she loved both of you with all of her heart and soul. That was very apparent to me from the beginning. I know that you are both hurting right now and that nothing any of us say can mend your broken hearts. There is not one doubt in my mind that she has already gotten her wings from Jesus and she is ready to fly. Her beautiful spirit will always remain in our heart where she has always been.

LeeLee, I know this is killing you right now. You and Carol had many years together and made two great kids. It says a whole lot about you both as people, that you were able to get past the ugliness of divorce and live peacefully and as good friends for Tina and Derek. And I know you still love her for being the awesome mother that she was and I know she still loved you for being a great dad that you are. She will always be around you in spirit to guide you when you need her. Please take care of YOU (and Tina and Derek), over the next few weeks Lee. I love you and the kids too. If any of y’all need me please call.
