| Willow Spring- Thomas Eugene Kinsey, Sr. born Feb. 2, 1933, was called to reside in the House of our Lord on March 12, 2010 after fighting a battle against cancer. He joins his loving wife Catherine of 56 years who preceded him in death in Dec. 2009. Memorial service at 7:00 PM Monday March 15, 2010 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Tom married his high school sweetheart. Up until his last days he proclaimed “She was the best thing that ever happened to me”. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He leaves behind three daughters, Karen and husband Don, Kathy and husband Kevin, Kim and husband Reggie, two sons, Thomas Jr., and wife Darlene and son, Todd. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and brothers, William, and Ronald Kinsey.
Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4-years during the Korean War. He had a love of cars. Which lead him to open his own NAPA stores in 1965. Being successful in their business ventures Tom and Doll retired after 20 years and moved to Florida. Retirement did not suit Tom, so he went to work for Carquest. He worked there until a year ago when health forced his retirement. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Tom’s dog Pooh also suffered from cancer.
