Ada Elizabeth Wardlaw Jordan

Raleigh – Betty was born in Selma, Alabama on January 12, 1927 to Rev. O.W. Wardlaw and Anna Rae Cox Wardlaw. She lived in Alabama and Mississippi prior to moving to Raeford, NC and then Raleigh, NC in 1959. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul R. Jordan, Jr.; daughter, Anna Mullings and husband Mike of Savannah, GA; son, Paul Jordan III and wife, Dianne of Centreville, MD; grandchildren Andrew, Grace, and Rebecca from MD; sister, Margaret Pullin of Terry, MS; and sister-in-law, Ann J. McNeill and husband Frank of Aberdeen, NC. Betty was a retired Director of Christian Education, volunteer with Loaves and Fishes, Clerk of the Session at First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh where she was a member for over 50 years, and member and former treasurer of the Raleigh D.A.R. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 120 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. The family will receive friends in the Baucom Parlor after the service. Private Family Burial.
