| RALEIGH—Johnny Watson Holder, 93, of 3424 Rock Quarry Road, died Tuesday at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Mallie and Lona Hodge Holder. He served with the Raleigh Police Department for 11 years and retired from Job P. Wyatt as an equipment salesman.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Surviving: his wife of 72 years, Florine Macon Holder; son, Boyd Holder, Sr. and his wife, Nancy of Raleigh; grandson, Rev. Boyd Holder, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Kingsport, TN and two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Vestal Holder of Kingsport, TN.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
