| Angier - Ronald W. Carty, 65 died Monday, February 15th, 2010 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital, in Raleigh, NC.
Ron was born in St. Louis, MO. son of the late Woodrow and Edrah Carty.
Ron was a veteran of the U.S. navy serving four years during the Cuban Missile crisis. Upon completion of his duties as a serviceman he worked in the electrical field in Jacksonville, Florida for seventeen years. In 1978 he traveled to Saudi Arabia where he was employed as an electrical supervisor for Moran Brown and Olds as well as for DeMauro Shuwayer in helping to build the facilities for ARAMCO. He returned to the U.S in 1980 and continued his work in the electrical contracting field for over 26 years .The past decade he owned and operated Carty’s Electrical Service located in Angier, NC.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy, daughter, Melissa Moore of Greensboro; son, Monty Carty of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Pat Campbell and brother Butch Carty; and his half sisters, Sandy Parker, Connie Culley and Donna Snow.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 tat 11:00 AM at Neil’s Creek Baptist Church in Angier. (919) 639-6126
