| RALEIGH - Josie Franks, 85, passed away Monday. A lifelong resident of Wake County, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Douglas L. Franks.
Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Wednesday at Caraleigh Baptist Church, 1400 Green Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Franks is survived by her son, Gary Franks and wife, Shannon and by her granddaughter, Emily.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Michelle Jernigan and Heather Shull.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27605.
