| Angier – Ray Wayne Dorman, 63, of 672 Chalybeate Springs Rd., went home to heaven on Saturday after a long and fearless battle with cancer. Ray was a retired farmer and rural postal carrier.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Lawton and Margaret Dorman of Angier.
He is survived by his best friend of 15 years, Debbie McStoots and her daughter, Leigh Ann McStoots of Angier, a son, Bryan Dorman of Angier; a sister Margie Stewart of Lillington;, a brother, Bobby Dorman of Angier and his friend, Jeanette Johnson of Angier who was a wonderful help to Ray; a niece, Angela McCauley; nephews, Mark Stewart and Scott Stewart and wife, Monica; great-nieces, Lorie Stewart and baby, Lilly Grace and Kayleigh Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Angier. The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at the residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank all the gracious and loving caregivers at Hospice of Harnett County and H. Carlton Powell Hospice Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to E. Carlton Hospice Center, 185 Pine State St., Lillington, NC 27546.
