| Charlie Smith, 72, died Sunday. Mr. Smith retired from the Army after 22 years of service as a Master Sergeant.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Charlie is survived by his sister, Annie S. Moore and husband, Robert and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sherrill and Katie Smith, a sister Shirley Faye Smith, and a brother, Sherrill Smith Jr.
Family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier, and at other times at the home of Mrs. Annie S. Moore, 998 McDougald Rd. Lillington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Haiti relief effort through Triangle Area Chapter American Red Cross 100 N. Peartree Lane Raleigh, NC 27610.
